Scholarships

One of the goals of AOC is to develop an interest of young students for EW technology as a career. The giving of scholarships was first established by the Kittyhawk Club in 1968. The club used funds from its social activities and had found obtaining company sponsorship funds a difficult growth path for funding that took years to get corporate engagement. It was not until 1973 that a second chapter, the SAC Roost joined in providing scholarships to local students.

We reestablished the Chesapeake Bay Roost scholarship activities in 2023 and have a key goal to maintain a consistent track record of scholarship donations to local students in the area. The scholarship cycle starts late in the year, with final submissions due in April.
